The St Benedicts Church

 

 

St Benedict's Church at Kutchery Chowk was known as Shanti Niwas and bought by the diocese on 17-11-1966. The old building was renovated and called St. Benedict after the name of an American benefactor who paid for it. From 1968, the Chancery Office was started there as well as the parish church which was only a small room on the ground floor. It’s a must visit during Christmas as the church is decorated beautifully and there’s midnight mass that is conducted in the church premises
